...unless it's an absolutely pristine NA, there is no point in looking at it to retain value no matter what. This almost even applies to TT's really. I'd say in general for these cars, there is no economically sound way of owning these. At this age, it's just a luxury item, and it really has more to do with how much an owner's pocketbook says it's worth them to keep it. So no matter what route you go, used NA, TT, LS swap, do it simply because you *want* to own that Z.
